Being regulars at restaurants proves the quality and integrity of such place. For my family, the comfort of knowing there are specific restaurants that suite our every need is an experience we and everyone strives for. As for Freehold, that mantle would have to go to the restaurant Solo Trattoria and Pizzeria.

Solo Trattoria and Pizzeria is an Italian restaurant located on 7 South Street in Freehold New Jersey. Reviewed quite highly, Solo Trattoria serves old-world Italian cooking in a relaxing dining room setting. The dishes they serve are all "home style" and are healthy options containing fresh ingredients received by shipments daily. Although appearing small on the outside, the experience inside would be considered out of this world.


Appearing on the inside, news articles and accomplishments plaster the walls. Being Zagat rated and being shown as one of Freeholds finest restaurants, the confidence that this restaurant holds exudes the success and legacy of Solo Trattoria. Being able to host events and group dining also makes the atmosphere always appear lively while you enjoy a comfortable meal.


The food of course compliments the inviting and confident atmosphere that Solo Trattoria exudes. The traditional Italian bolognese, although a bit spicy, melts in your mouth a sweet and exotic flavor. The lasagna compliments this with its sweet sauce and options to have it be a spinach lasagna instead. This variety of food options makes every experience different from the rest and even more pleasant with every visit.


Leaving Solo Trattoria and Pizzeria, I already long for their food again and for anyone visiting Freehold they will too. Breaking out of your comfort zone may be a good thing, but sometimes eating food close to home could be just as good of an experience as well.

Old Nostalgia at the County Fair

As if visiting home was not enough, being home insists on family outings to relive the memories of the past before I began college. Although sounding negative, it honestly is a feeling of joy to attempt things that may not have been as good as you can remember.
